For over a decade, FIRST Robotics Team 467 has been known as the Colonials, aligning with the historic sports team name used by our home at Shrewsbury High School. This name has served us well, however we’ve felt for some time that it didn’t perfectly fit our robotics team, or align with the naming style adopted by other FIRST teams, many of whom have selected names that are derived from well known math, engineering or science concepts.

Team 467 is committed to spreading STEM to the next generation of engineers. Every year, a group of students from Team 467 visits the elementary schools in the Shrewsbury Public Schools District to teach them about the engineering design process—and our robot SHUFFLE.

We kicked off our presentations at Spring Street School . The kids were very interested in learning about the process we use to build our robots. It was also a way to show off SHUFFLE, our 2024 robot! Our presentation included the design process that we use to bring our concepts to reality, a demonstration of our robot, and even a little quiz about the parts in our robot! Overall, this is a great way to spread STEM awareness and help gain support for our team.

Join us on Saturday October 12th as Team 467 competes in our first off-season competition of the year with our robot from last season SHUFFLE at NERD (New England Robotics Derby). Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend; the event is free and open to the public, and Billerica isn’t too far away.

FRC Team 467, Center of Mass will be showing our robot SHUFFLE at the Spirit of Shrewsbury this year.

SHUFFLE is our competition robot from the 2024 FIRST Robotics Game - Crescendo which won a place in the New England District Championship.

We will be at both the Town Expo on Saturday, Sept 28 and the Parade on Sunday, Sept 29.
