This weekend we competed at the Granite State District Qualifier in Bedford, New Hampshire for our first competition of the season. After qualification matches we were ranked 15th out of 34 teams with a record of 4-7-0. We were the first pick of alliance 7 captained by Team 7674: RaiderBots, with their second pick Team 126: Gael Force filling out our alliance. Unfortunately, we lost both of our playoff matches, however the team was able to bring home the Judges’ Award which the judges described as follows:
“During the course of the competition, the judging panel may decide that a team’s unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition. This team impressed the judges with their spirit, professionalism, and technical acumen. This team had a unique approach to insert themselves into the CENTER of things. Judges a-Massed behind recognizing them as a team worthy of recognition for the obvious gravity to pull students into FIRST.”
In addition our Woodie Flowers nomination was announced, congratulations to Jon M, we thank you for all you do for this team!
We earned a total of 29 district point at Granite State and hopefully continue this with our week 5 competition at WPI!
